Garu was not born in a boardroom. It was born in a home kitchen — but it was always meant to grow far beyond it.

In 2020, when the world paused during the lockdown, stepping outside felt uncertain, and something as simple as eating homemade food became a luxury. During that time, Founder — a mother and a passionate home cook — began sharing her recipes on YouTube through her channel, Garima’s Kitchen. What started as a simple effort to help people cook at home soon reached thousands of hearts.

Her food brought comfort to many. But more importantly, it sparked a powerful idea.

If one home kitchen could make such a difference, imagine what millions of home kitchens, local creators, and producers across India could do — if they were given the right platform.

That idea became Garu.

Founded under Garu Innovation Limited, Garu is a platform built to empower individuals — especially women and local creators — by enabling them to sell homemade food, locally produced goods, and handmade products directly to people.

What started as a vision to empower homemakers has grown into a larger mission — to support Women Empowerment and strengthen the Local for Vocal movement.

Garu is building an ecosystem where:
